I have always enjoyed helping people succeed. In one capacity or another, I have done just that in the past 15 years. I started my career in State Government as an Employment Specialist at Job Service, but I had a strong interest in training and was increasingly taking on training responsibilities. I noticed that more than 100 Job Service staff across the state didn't have a consistent training strategy or centralized guidance, so I approached my manager about the gap. She encouraged me to develop a proposal, and that resulted in the creation of a temporary statewide Training Coordinator position for me. As I developed the program, I recognized that the same need existed more broadly across Workforce Services, so I proposed expanding the strategy to the division. Leadership supported the proposal and created a permanent position.
That experience really reinforced something that's remained central to my career: I enjoy identifying learning and performance gaps and building practical solutions to address them.

I'm an Instructional Designer and Training Development Specialist who enjoys turning complex technology, systems, and business processes into learning experiences that people can actually use.
Over the course of my career, I've designed and delivered learning for adult audiences in government, higher education, workforce development, and community organizations. Today, my work sits at the intersection of instructional design, enterprise technology, software implementation, accessibility, and change management.

My instructional design approach combines ADDIE, SAM, Agile development, and backward design. I begin with needs analysis and learning objectives, consider the needs of different learner personas and roles, and use storyboarding, interactive practice, task-based assessments, and performance support to help learners apply what they've learned.
Accessibility is a particular priority in my work. I build ADA and Section 508 considerations into the design and development process, rather than treating accessibility as an afterthought.
